Mom moved in with us about five months ago. She will be 90 in January, so it seemed like a good time. Since then, we’ve been working on arranging the sale of her house—and now it’s done!
So, what’s Mom doing with all her spare time? First, a cruise in the Bahamas. Fortunately, avoiding the hurricane.
Next, the Netherlands with her five children. The purpose of the trip is to buy Sinterklaas candy! Schuimpjes, strooigoed, en chocoladeleters. I expect we’ll do more than that, but I look forward to seeing what I’ve only heard about thus far.
Maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of the old guy himself. Or, in Mom’s case, the youngster.
