Sometimes, when I was teaching, I was tempted to break into praise. I didn’t do it. After all, that’s a sure path to losing a job that I really enjoyed.

In past years, I taught cell biology at a four-year college, beginning anatomy and physiology and microbiology at a community college, and the all-encompassing general biology in various places.

My favorite thing about biology? The tiny things. Far from being a bag of jelly, cells are like a city. Far from being a simple molecule, DNA contains an elegant and complex code. Far from being just white blood cells, our immune system is like a well-run army.

As a person of faith, I believe that God invented all of this. I don’t know how, but I do know who. And that the WHO must be incredibly clever and powerful. So, I decided to put together a series of videos so that you all can see why the tiny things blow me away. This is the second one…
